COLSA Corporation is seeking candidates for a mid-level Missile Software Design and Integration Engineer to join the Systems Simulation, Software and Integration’s (S3I) MDA Strategic Targets Lab (STL) located on Redstone Arsenal, AL.

The MDA Strategic Targets Lab (STL) provides the Missile Defense Agency’s Targets and Countermeasures (TC) customer with independent performance assessments of vendor flight software that is designed for MDA’s Targets. Using all-digital simulations (ADS) and processor-in-the-loop (PIL), the target's performance is evaluated against the requirements for each flight test.

The candidate will be responsible for the integration of vendor flight software into a Six Degrees of Freedom (6DOF) based All-Digital-Simulation (ADS) and Processor-In-the-Loop (PIL) test bed architecture. This integration includes connectivity of synchronized operations between Six Degrees of Freedom (6DOF) models, GPS simulation, Thrust Vector Control (TVC) systems, Linear Variable Differential Transformer (LVDT), and ordinance interfaces.

A thorough understanding of high fidelity modeling architectures is critical as the candidate will be conducting this integration, debugging, and verification work with the end state of providing a test capability to support formal independent performance assessments and test execution.

The candidate will responsible for conducting engineering analysis by reading and interpreting software specifications, interface specifications, system specifications, and performance specifications. Additionally, the candidate will be providing support in a configuration managed software environment, and will occasionally be asked to attend meetings with the MDA TC customer and vendors.
