Job Summary:

PPL is growing its Career Pathways enrollment and outreach services and is seeking a dynamic, people-oriented Outreach & Enrollment Specialist to join our team. This role is often the first point of contact for participants and plays a key role in recruiting, screening, and enrolling individuals into our job training programs. Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the welcoming face of PPL’s Career Center, supporting walk-ins and scheduled appointments.
• Conduct eligibility screenings and intake assessments for CareerWorks and SNAP E&T programs.
• Interview and enroll participants into job training programs in collaboration with training staff.
• Proctor skills assessments (e.g., TABE, Northstar Digital Literacy).
• Deliver excellent customer service in person, online, and over the phone.
• Lead outreach and recruitment efforts through community events, job fairs, social media, and info sessions.
• Maintain accurate and timely data entry and documentation.
• Represent PPL at community events, occasionally during evenings and weekends.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

What we are looking for:

• S trong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience working with diverse and low-income communities.
• Comfortable presenting to large groups and facilitating workshops.
• Knowledge of local community resources and programs.
• Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
• Reliable transportation or valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Technology Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Zoom, and Teams.
• Ability to navigate online databases and internet tools.
• Familiarity with office equipment and electronic timekeeping systems.

Education & Experience:

• BA/BS in a related field preferred (experience may substitute for education).
• Experience in community outreach, public speaking, or participant engagement.
