Full-Time Instrument Rental Education Representative
Job Description
Ensemble Music Schools is seeking a fun and professional Music Store Sales Representative to work on a Full-Time Salaried basis for Needham Music in Needham, MA, a western suburb of Boston, MA. This staff member will serve as the account manager and primary point of contact for the instrument rental program at the store.
The desired hours for this position are 40 hours per week, approximately 10am-6pm, with occasional weekend flexibility for seasonal recruitment opportunities.
Primary responsibilities include:
Outreach to local band and orchestra programs in schools, community arts organizations, and non-profit organizations
Fostering and retaining relationships with the musical community in Needham, MA and surrounding areas
Community outreach in the form of “instrument try-out” and “instrument petting-zoo” events and other outreach opportunities to recruit student interest
Instrument inventory management and accounting for the instrument rental program
Administrating the success of the instrument rental program at Needham Music
The successful candidate will be an organized, motivated self-starter with a strong customer service and sales mindset. A background in Instrumental Music Education and knowledge of the function and pedagogy of multiple instruments, as well as experience playing multiple instruments, are a MUST. A background in sales, recruitment, and/or administration is strongly desired but not required.
Pay will be commensurate with experience, in the range of $55,000 to $60,000 per year. Quarterly bonus opportunities are available equal to 25% of the growth in instrument rental revenue in a given quarter as compared to the previous highest quarter. A 401(k) with company matching is available to all of our employees after 3 months on the job.
