Part-Time Piano Teacher - San Jose, CA
About the Position
Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional piano instructor to teach part-time at Pacific Piano School in San Jose, CA. We are looking for teachers who will instruct IN PERSON! Teachers can set their availability within our open hours as needed, but both students and school staff appreciate consistency and preference will be given to candidates with greater availability. This position will begin at 10 hours per week and can expect to increase with student enrollment.
Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in piano performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check. MTAC membership and/or Certificate of Merit experience preferred.
Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $40-48/hour for private lessons. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 90 days on the job.
