Pay Range: $80.00 - 95.00 per hour
Title: Automated Test Equipment Engineer ATE
Overview: The primary responsibility of an Automated Test Equipment Engineer is to provide test program sets (TPS), Test Code development for multiple components for aerospace and defense applications. Applicant should have a strong background as an Electrical Engineer, and possess a demonstrated ability in designing, developing, and deploying complex C#/C++ test applications.
Essential or Primary / Key Responsibilities: Primary Responsibilities include developing automated TPS SW, manual tools, and utilities for new test Equipment, as well as debugging and modifying existing TPS SW for new tests, features, etc.. Hands-on implementation of hardware test requirements with in-house and/or third part automated test solutions. Design, integration, maintenance, and configuration management of automated test hardware and software. Liaising with our vendor Design Engineering to execute test solutions for new products. Work closely with the new product development team for the Prime Mission Equipment, providing tools for them to communicate, interrogate, and test the new product, enabling them to use early feedback on their designs. Provide the tools and automation for the DVT, Qual, and Production phases of the project. Inputs to all formal Review packages, such as TE Gate events (TE SRR, TE CDR, TE Validation), will be included.
Qualifications:
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
10+ years of experience on ATE development and domain requirements.
Electronics troubleshooting and instrument familiarity (analog, digital, power, communications). Demonstrated proficiency in problem solving and critical thinking. Ability to interpret and implement electronic hardware test requirements.
Ability to read, edit, and integrate software. Effective communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to effectively multitask and manage priorities.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Ability to automate test equipment instrumentation (ex. power supplies, meters, oscilloscopes) for test and/or fault diagnosis. Subject areas of demonstrated ability include Test Executives, TPS Test Code, Equipment Drivers, Hardware Abstraction Layers, TE and End-Item Integration, Requirements Analysis, and Design Review material preparation.
ATE HW (EE) knowledge, with respect to manual and automated control of typical test instrumentation is a must. Product knowledge of Power Distribution Units and Control and Actuation Systems is a plus.
