    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    The IT System Administrator will provide technical support to an Army contracting office by troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software and network related issues utilizing pre-defined call and ticket management procedures to identify and resolve issues presented by clients through email, telephone and the customer’s portal. The IT System Administrator will document and monitor issues in the ticket management system to ensure timely resolution in accordance with the service level standard. The IT System Administrator shall have outstanding customer service and time management skills.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Includes the following:

    • Monitor financial system interfaces such as General Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), and Electronic Document Access (EDA)
    • Deployment, upgrade and sustainment of the Department of Defense (DoD) Standard Procurement System's (SPS)/ Procurement Desktop-Defense (PD2) contract writing software and identify hardware, software and data communications problems
    • Maintain and support upgrades and improvements to organization SharePoint
    • Monitor day-to-day performance of local and wide-area network in excess of 100 computers
    • Diagnose system failures to isolate the source of the problems between equipment/ hardware, system software and application programs
    • Provide day-to-day maintenance of the PD2 database security model including, but not limited to tasks such as setting up new users, resetting passwords, establishing profiles, maintaining warrant information, creating groups/teams and resetting PIN numbers
    • Assist PD2 functional users to include analyzing problems, coordinating with the SPSA and SPS Helpdesk, related to resolution of the problem/ issue
    • Assist new users with establishing accounts for NIPR, SIPR, JWICS or any other platform used for the organization
    • Set up, maintain and assist with solving issues with Video Teleconferencing (VTC) equipment
    • Deliver quality, day-to-day support services and responding to Help Desk Tickets. Take appropriate action to correct issues in an efficient and timely manner and confirm closure with the User prior to dispositioning a ticket.
    • Maintain a help desk log to track day-to-day assistance to functional users
    • Update PD2 Clause Library
    • Monitor PD2 to ensure Purchase Requests are logged and routed to the proper Contracting Officer
    • Provide reports using data from various software/ program mediums
    • Coordinate with INSCOM service desk to ensure government laptops and computers are properly updated with user profiles and security/system patches
    • Assist with configuring multiple hardware platforms to ensure proper connectivity to web applications and various communication tools required for teleworking

    SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY:

    • None.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • Experience supporting DoD NIPR, SIPR and JWICS platforms
    • Strong experience with PD2
    • Experience must include networking principles, routing protocols, Wide/ Local Area Networks, network topologies, troubleshooting practices, configuration management practices, configuring and testing network devices
    • Shall have the ability to proficiently communicate in the English language
    • Experienced user of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • Work will be performed primarily in a climate-controlled office environment
    • May require occasional lifting or moving of items up to 25 pounds

    CLEARANCE:

    • Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
