YOUR ROLE AT CLOROX:

Clorox is transforming its data & technology capabilities and culture. The Data Governance Admin Intern will join the Enterprise Data Governance team that helps drive this transformation through our data governance organization and tools. Data Governance ensures the organization has the processes, policies, standards, and structures to treat data as an asset for value creation. The Data Governance Admin Intern, with guidance of a Data Governance manager, is responsible for supporting our ongoing data governance journey by building out platforms to communicate progress and support onboarding of governance relevant information in our Data Catalog. This support would be completed through work with APIs to load metadata into our data catalog, build Power BI dashboards to share governance progress and improve our Governance SharePoint site to give employees a one stop shop for information.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze and build datasets from our data catalog for use in metrics

• Build Power BI dashboards to communicate resource progress of governance activities in our Data Catalog

• Improve Data governance SharePoint site and connection to governance activities

• Support loading of metadata into data catalog

  • Using API’s

  • Standardizing templates for users

  • Identifying opportunities and/or Improving process

• Think creatively with an ability to identify needs, develop a plan of action and implement with clear communication

• Ability to communicate issues and recommend solutions in a timely manner.

• Manage projects with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines, leveraging the agile methodology

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

Key Skills, Abilities, and Experience

• Degree in STEM or the equivalent, pursuit of MS or PhD preferred (Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or similar analytical fields)

• Previous internship or business experience (1~2 years)

• Experience working with API’s. Experience building API’s preferred

• Project experience working with databases and database query language (SQL)

• Experience with data visualization software (Microsoft Power BI preferred)

• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (Microsoft Azure, GCP, or AWS), is a plus

• Experience working with SharePoint is a plus

• Understanding of design and architecture principles is a plus

• Understanding of data basics, standards, nomenclature

Additional Information

The applicable pay range for this role in the U.S. is based on your work location according to the cost of labor in your area.

*$26 - $32/hr

All ranges are subject to change in the future.
