    ******JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE**

    The IT/GIS Analyst will support the implementation and sustainment of our ArcGIS Utility Network platform for gas infrastructure. This role is central to maintaining high-quality geospatial data, supporting enterprise GIS applications, and developing the documentation, training, and governance needed to scale GIS effectively across the organization.

    ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    GIS Operations & Support

    • Maintain and update geospatial and tabular datasets related to gas utility assets within ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise.
    • Support the configuration, testing, and quality assurance of the ArcGIS Utility Network, including subnetworks, network rules, domains, and associations.
    • Assist with deploying and supporting web maps and field data collection applications (Field Maps, Survey123, Workforce).

    Training, Documentation & Governance

    • Develop clear and user-friendly Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials to support OT applications, including GIS tools, workflows, and editing practices.
    • Assist in onboarding field and office staff by delivering technical training sessions and one-on-one support.
    • Contribute to the development and enforcement of GIS governance standards, data quality rules, and change management protocols.

    Application Configuration & Automation

    • Support the creation of dashboards, reports, and apps using ArcGIS Experience Builder, Web AppBuilder, and Dashboards.
    • Develop basic scripts and tools (Python, ModelBuilder, Arcade) to automate common tasks such as QA/QC, reporting, and data syncing/extraction to support engineering, operations, and asset condition survey operations.

    System Integration & Data Management

    • Assist in GIS data exchanges and workflows that support integration with SCADA, AMI, and ETRM platforms.
    • Conduct routine data validation and cleanup operations to maintain the accuracy and integrity of enterprise datasets.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Work with engineering, operations, and IT teams to document and refine GIS-enabled business processes.
    • Act as a technical resource to help staff troubleshoot issues, adopt best practices, and engage with both spatial and non-spatial OT Solutions.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    Minimum education required of the position

    • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Information Systems, Computer Science, Geography, or related field.

    Minimum experience required of the position

    • 5+ years of experience using Esri GIS tools (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, or ArcGIS Online).
    • Familiarity with geodatabase design, feature services, and spatial analysis.
    • Excellent written communication skills with a focus on producing training materials and process documentation.

    Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities preferred of the position

    • Experience supporting GIS in a natural gas utility or similar infrastructure environment.
    • Working knowledge of the ArcGIS Utility Network or data modeling for utility systems.
    • Exposure to scripting (Python, SQL, Arcade) or automation tools (ModelBuilder).
    • Understanding of IT/OT integrations, SCADA systems, or operational data platforms.
    • Experience participating in or enforcing technical governance or data quality standards.

    Physical Requirements

    • Able to operate a personal computer, either desktop or laptop.
    • Able to sit for extended periods of time.
    • Able to operate a copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscellaneous office equipment.
    • Able to exert up to 50 Lbs. of force occasionally, and /or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push or otherwise move objects.
