    Job Description

    ** Job Purpose**

    The Entertainment Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the Alternative Programming department operates smoothly by providing administrative support to two department executives (SVP & VP). The ideal candidate will be passionate about unscripted content and actively participate in creative discussions and brainstorms, provide notes and creative feedback on our shows and contribute to the overall success of UTAS.

    ** Essential Responsibilities**

    • Provide day-to-day administrative and creative support for unscripted studio executives, including calendar management, meeting coordination (in-person and virtual), travel logistics, and expense processing.
    • Act as a key point of contact between internal NBCU departments, external producers, and the broader creative community.
    • Prepare meeting materials, take detailed notes, and ensure follow-up actions and deadlines are tracked and communicated.
    • Maintain organized digital files, shared drives, and production databases to streamline information flow.
    • Support production logistics by tracking call sheets, scripts, schedules, and other materials through digital platforms; assist with local on-set coordination as needed.
    • Partner with production and post teams to track cuts, compile notes, and help ensure timely delivery of creative materials.
    • Collaborate with internal teams including PR, Marketing, and Social to support logistics for series launches, promotional materials, and internal initiatives.
    • Collaborate with internal Research teams to coordinate audience testing surveys and track ratings reports.
    • Stay informed on unscripted TV trends, competitive series, and new creative talent to help identify opportunities and participate in team discussions.
    • Be a proactive, solutions-oriented team player who can step in to support other department coordinators and contribute to a positive, collaborative work culture.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ** Basic Qualifications:**

    • Minimum 1-year work experience, ideally in Television Programming or adjacent industry
    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

    ** Eligibility Requirements:**

    • Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV online to be considered
    • Willingness to work overtime and on weekends with short notice
    • Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA

    ** Desired Characteristics:**

    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Highly creative individual with strong interest in unscripted programming and a willingness to share ideas and feedback
    • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
    • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
    • Flexible, personable and collaborative-- interested in building relationships with internal teams and the external creative community

    ** Additional Requirements:**

    • Must have work authorization to work in the United States
    • Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program.
    • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
    • Salary range: $26-$30/hr
