YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:
The FP&A will be a critical member of the Entertainment Earth finance and accounting team. This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and have significant exposure to Executive Management, including the CEO, President, CTO, and COO, and the Board of Directors. This high-profile financial role supports both the Direct-to-Consumer (entertainmentearth.com) and Wholesale (eedistribution.com) businesses for Entertainment Earth. This is an exempt position.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Develop and maintain the reporting framework to ensure optimal business decisions are made.
- Ensure the execution of month-end and quarter-end financial variance analysis.
- Proactively and continuously analyze the business for opportunities to optimize profitability and present resulting proposals to senior management.
- Assist with the preparation of Senior Management presentations/meetings (Monthly).
- Business Reviews, Board of Directors meetings, forecast review meetings, etc.).
- Evolve financial analysis through to recommendations on how to further optimize positive trends and/or address unfavorable trends.
- Perform additional high-profile ad-hoc analyses and decision support as required.
- Manage investment and capital expenditure analysis:
- Understand and develop the capital expenditure strategy.
- Work closely and seamlessly with Chief Financial Officer and financial sponsors.
- Assess current financial reporting capabilities and identify a path for long-term strategy.
DO YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
- 4-6 years of experience in budgeting, forecasting, and planning for an operational unit or in a corporate finance setting is required. Investment Banking, Private Equity or Management Consulting is a plus.
- BA or BS degree required (Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics).
- Expert level skill with Excel, its total functionality, and robust financial modeling skills.
- Experience in a private equity-backed company or similar environment is preferred.
- Demonstratable strong analytical mindset and ability to make confident, fact-based decisions.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Proven ability to multi-task and manage numerous simultaneous projects.
- History of and work style that rolls-up sleeves and works hands-on with the team.
- Strong interpersonal style, including excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well in high-pressure situations to meet deadlines.
- Working in a hybrid accounting and financial planning function is a plus; e-Commerce experience is preferred.
- Ability to work with and analyze large data sets.
- Experience working within MS Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, etc).
- Role can be hybrid (3 days a week in the Los Angeles area office, 2 days remote).
Pay range $90,000 - $110,000 Depending on experience
