Job Description
We are a prestigious entertainment law firm seeking to hire a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing various financial aspects of our legal operations, including cash receipts, client costs, and financial reconciliation. The successful candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with legal teams and financial stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Process incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Handle day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables’ data and maintaining up to date records.
Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to bank reports to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Prepare and track bills receivable, cost reimbursements, retainer invoices, and bank deposits.
Manage booking slips, and commissions reports.
Prepare daily bank deposits and cash reports.
Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
Generate and review AR aging to ensure compliance.
Perform various Ad hoc reports or duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
Prior working experience in legal field with Accounts Receivable related roles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and financial software (Sage 100)
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail is a must.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, especially in collaborating with attorneys, management, and clients.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
