Job Description

The Business Intelligence Engineer plays a fundamental role in supporting the Account and Field teams through managing and analyzing business intelligence data, maintaining systems, and designing and building visualization. A strong candidate is comfortable designing and implementing data collection and visualization systems, providing business performance-enhancing updates, and guiding creative problem-solving to improve efficiencies. The role is critical to supporting business performance against KPIs through visualization and reporting. 

This role will work directly with the Director of Program Operations and team to refine operations processes to support agency programs and their stakeholders. This role communicates regularly with the national field team to support and troubleshoot data and systems queries. The ideal candidate is collaborative, a self-starter, and can work autonomously on multiple projects. THIS ROLE IS REMOTE-BASED AND REQUIRES QUARTERLY TRAVEL OR MORE TO VARIOUS MARKETS INCLUSIVE OF THE NEW YORK CITY ENTHUSE HEADQUARTERS.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Identify, design, build, and support data warehousing.
• Design, create, and maintain Tableau dashboards for visualizations that enable teams to manage business performance against KPIs.
• Design, maintain, and troubleshoot data models to increase accuracy and automation for reporting and analytics.
• Lead ad-hoc and canned business analysis and reporting, and contribute to client presentations with various exploratory data analyses.
• Ensure data accuracy by validating data.
• Modify and cross-validate systems and dashboards with data from SQL databases.
• Participate and contribute to larger Operations team and agency initiatives.
• Train new hires and team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or information systems
• Proficiency in SQL, SQL Server, ETL, Tableau and programs; an understanding of SQL window functions and views
• Experience with Python or R language software and systems
• Proficiency in Tableau
• Understanding of relational databases
• Comfortable making decisions and leading
• Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
• Microsoft Excel skills required

Additional Information

The base compensation range for this job classification is between $100,000 and $125,000 The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related skills and qualifications, length of service and geographic location. This job classification is bonus-eligible, with bonus potential subject to applicable bonus plan terms and conditions.
