    POSITION: SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT (PART TIME)

    DEPARTMENT: TECHNOLOGY

    REPORTING TO: VP, TECHNOLOGY

    LOCATION: REMOTE

     

    DESCRIPTION: 

    The Solutions Architect will closely work with the Client Success team to understand and participate in development of project requirements such as multi-channel content deployment programs, peer to peer video chat, EMR integration driven projects with healthcare systems and more . This role is responsible for authoring the detailed functional specifications to help communicate the requirements, answer questions, and facilitate the new functionality as it makes its way through the SDLC.  This position plays a critical part in ensuring the quality of ENTRADA’s technology offerings by clearly documenting requirements and overseeing QA. The ideal candidate will constantly look for innovative technical ways to improve the usability and efficiency of the applications and make suggestions for improvement. This position reports to the Vice President, Technology.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ·     Functional Specifications and Business Requirement Documents

    • Produce detailed functional specifications and BRDs for all projects and solutions
    • Documents should be detailed enough so that there are minimum clarifications required by the development or business intelligence teams
    • Maintain versioning of specification and BRD documents
    • Act as the Subject Matter Expert on the business rules across the company

    ·      QA/Quality Sign Off

    • Ensure that all client deliverables produced by the technology and development team are thoroughly tested and are in compliance with the functional specifications
    • Create use case documents for the modules developed
    • Do traceability analysis and ensure that test cases developed by Quality Assurance teams cover all the use cases and functional details outlined in specification documents

    Liaise between Technology and other departments:

    • Develop strong relationships with internal client-facing teams to deliver cohesive best-in-class customer service to clients
    • Actively participate in client discovery process, understand and document client requirements
    • Keep abreast of technical innovations, new products, and services. Use these and innovative thinking skills to continually drive innovation and automation into existing and future solutions

    ·     Define and monitor technology scope

    • Understand the business requirements to produce detailed scope and level of effort for each solution from a development perspective
    • Identify the scope of changes to the system and uncover any gaps in the requirements that require further discussions internally or with the clients
    •  Manage internal budgets of software subscriptions and renewals

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Solution Architect, Business Architect or similar technical role A 4-year college degree is required in the field of Computer Science or similar technical discipline Prior experience working in technology/software companies is required Strong documentation skills with a proven ability to develop Functional Specifications and/or BRD is a MUST Minimum 2 years of prior experience in QA Management is required Outstanding written and oral communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with different personality types Highly autonomous, self-directed, proactive and comfortable working within a dynamic environment Solutions oriented with proven success in a fast-paced environment, even keeled under pressure Experience working on Consumer Relationship Marketing (CRM) programs – an advantage Working knowledge of use cases and their use in a QA environment Experience working with and managing SDLC tools such as DevSuite/Jira/etc. Knowledge of the following technology platforms/languages/tools – an advantage:

    • Java EE platforms with knowledge of Class loading, Memory Management, Transaction management
    • REST web services
    • Swagger and Postman
    • Understanding of Spring Framework
    • Micro services Architecture
    • Knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (Hibernate or MyBatis)
    • ELK(Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana) stack, Prometheus and Grafana
    • BPMN engines like Flowable or Activiti
    • SOLR, ActiveMQ/RabbitMQ Clusters and NoSQL databases like Couch DB
    • MEAN (Mongo DB, Express, Angular and Node.js) and React framework
    • Containers orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
    • WebRTC, understanding of STUN and TURN servers
    • Test-driven development, writing test cases in Selenium and doing functional QA
