    JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:

    The Boeing Company is seeking Entry Level, Associate and Experienced Estimating Specialists to join our growing team in Hazelwood, Missouri; Huntsville, Alabama; New Orleans, Louisiana; or Ridley Park, Pennsylvania.

    Our Estimating Specialists support U.S. Government and Foreign Military Sale type contracts and proposal activities. This position will be responsible for a variety of estimating tasks, including estimate and cost volume preparation, proposal development, fact-finding, and negotiation support. These specialists will coordinate with different functions to dissect customer requests for proposals and statements of work, and maintain communications with internal and external partners to ensure cost proposals are accurate, complete and of the highest quality.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop cost estimates for technical requirements including design, build, and aftermarket support of Boeing platforms

    • Evaluate requests for proposal and statements of work

    • Coordinate with diverse group of internal functional teams

    • Substantiate cost estimates and prepare proposals for submittal to customer

    • Perform analyses and provide recommendations in support of pricing / estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)

    • Support negotiations with a diverse set of customers

    • Develop and improve estimating and pricing methods

    • Evaluate and develop business cases

    • Present business solutions to preserve and expand the business

    This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed locations.

    This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

    • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

    • Experience in a finance related position such as Financial Operations, Material Cost Management, Accounting, Contracts, Estimating, Financial Planning, or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)

    • Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills

    • Experience with Project Estimating

    TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    ENTRY LEVEL (LEVEL 1): Bachelor's degree.

    ASSOCIATE (LEVEL 2): Bachelor's degree and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 1 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    EXPERIENCED (LEVEL 3): Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    RELOCATION:

    Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

    Summary pay range: Entry Level (Level 1): $47,000 - $84,000

    Associate (Level 2): $55,000 - $98,000

    Experienced (Level 3): $ 70,000 - $124,000
