    Position Summary

    The Entry-Level Compounder plays a key role in producing high-quality men’s grooming and skincare products for Respected Roots. This position is responsible for accurately measuring, mixing, and preparing batches in accordance with approved formulas and SOPs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn the cosmetic manufacturing process.

    This is an entry-level position with opportunities for advancement into Senior Compounder, Formulation Technician, or Manufacturing Lead roles.

    Key Responsibilities

    Weigh, measure, and mix raw materials (oils, butters, fragrances, preservatives, etc.) following batch instructions.

    Operate mixers, heating vessels, scales, and blending equipment safely and efficiently.

    Monitor and document key batch parameters, including temperature, mix time, viscosity, and pH (as needed).

    Transfer finished batches into holding tanks, filling equipment, or containers for production.

    Perform basic quality checks: product consistency, scent, color, texture, and appearance.

    Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), including cleanliness, sanitation, and proper documentation.

    Assist in cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining mixing equipment and production spaces.

    Maintain accurate batch records, ingredient usage logs, and yield reports.

    Report any deviations, inconsistencies, equipment issues, or safety concerns to the supervisor.

    Collaborate with the filling/packaging team to ensure production runs smoothly.

    Support inventory organization and raw-material restocking as needed.

    Uphold Respected Roots’ premium brand standards and attention to detail.

    Qualifications

    High School diploma or equivalent required.

    Prior manufacturing, warehouse, or cosmetic/food production experience is a plus, but not required—we will train.

    Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise written instructions.

    Basic math and measurement skills.

    Ability to stand for extended periods and lift to 50 lbs as needed.

    Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.

    Must adhere to safety standards at all times (PPE, chemical handling, equipment safety).

    Work Environment

    Production floor and manufacturing lab setting.

    May involve exposure to fragrances, oils, heat, and cosmetic raw materials.

    Requires adherence to hygiene and cleanliness standards.

    Pay Range $18.50-$21.00 Hourly
