    We're in immediate need of an intelligent, ambitious entry-level engineer to help our production departments grow. If geometry, construction concepts, and fractions come easily to you, let's chat. This position will support the behind-the-scenes efforts of our project managers by analyzing and entering new glazing production jobs, calculating glass sizes from provided field measurements, and performing the acquisition and verification of job components. The construction engineer is a very critical and important component of our company's success. You have the ability to make an enormous impact on productivity as well as profitability. Responsibilities: • Assist with low-volume phone inquiries • On a daily basis, generate precise glass sizes for fabrication from field-measured openings. You will be required to utilize graphing software, hardware rules, fractions, and an understanding of general construction concepts • On a daily basis, perform cost analysis and data entry of jobs submitted from the sales team • Issue purchase orders to procure glass and materials for jobs. Inspect acknowledgments for accuracy • Record invoices and verify against job costs • Participate in the daily review and analysis of active residential glass projects. Work directly with senior installation managers to learn job costing, resource analysis, and project management • Actively work to help the production department reduce mistakes and increase efficiency Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent • Must enjoy math, calculations, data analysis, and order processing • Must be able to juggle simultaneous priorities • Knowledge of construction concepts is preferred • Must be able to show up to work every day • Must be eager to learn and help the team • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills Compensation: $45,000 - $60,000
