    JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:

    The Boeing Electrical Engineering Core Group is seeking ENTRY LEVEL ELECTRICAL POWER DESIGN AND ANALYSIS ENGINEERS to work out of our OKLAHOMA CITY, OK LOCATION.

    The engineer will be responsible for performing analyses to ensure safe and appropriate electrical power loading for various systems on a multitude of air and space platforms recognized around the world. The engineer will also provide electrical system power expertise to design and modification efforts of products being developed throughout Boeing. This position will be part of a customer focused team providing direct specialty engineering support.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Coordinate, test, and verify Electrical Power requirements with teammates, customers, and system architects through the development and sustainment of various Boeing systems

    • Review supplier and partner qualification data to ensure compliance to Boeing and FAA electrical power requirements

    • Perform Electrical Loads Analysis (ELA) on a multitude of platforms in accordance with MIL-E-7016

    • Assists with the development and documentation of electronic and electrical system requirements

    • Supports the resolution of problems concerning and provide other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle

    OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

    • Research basic technology advances for potential application to company business needs

    • Assist with modeling the power generation, storage, and dissipation behavior of the Electrical Power Subsystem under various mission scenarios

    • Identify, track, and status technical performance measures to measure progress and ensure compliance with requirements

    • Conduct detailed trade studies and generate reports to communicate engineering recommendations

    • Assist with the development of high-level and detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications

    • Assist with the development of automated test equipment to support aircraft test requirements

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physics by the end of Dec 2022

    • Willing and able to travel at least 25% of the time as required

    • Experience with Electrical Loads Analysis (ELA) concepts and MIL-E-7016

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

    • An ABET accredited Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a Master’s/PhD in electrical engineering is preferred

    • Experience in the design, analysis, integration and verification of Electrical Power systems

    • Experience with power simulation tools

    • Experience with software scripting / programming languages for office products, test equipment program and / or modeling tools such as Perl, Python, Trac, Subversion, Java or other 4GL's/

    • Previous experience in Engineering research and development and/or working with electrical power system and design.

    TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

    • In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
