    BR&T is looking for a high performing, collaborative Entry-Level Electromagnetic Effects Research Engineer/Physicist to join our team in North Charleston, SC. This role will evaluate, analyze, and measure EM properties of advanced materials and configurations. Successful candidates will also develop new EM digital engineering processes to be deployed across the Boeing Enterprise and into the supplier network.

    We are seeking engineers who share a passion for advanced materials and digital engineering process development.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Support the develop workflows for electromagnetic effects analysis and simulation

    • Assist testing to characterize materials in electromagnetic environments

    • Assists in developing and validating requirements for various communication, sensor, electronic warfare and other electromagnetic systems and components

    • Assists in the development and validation of electromagnetic requirements for electrical\electronic systems, mechanical systems, interconnects and structures

    • Assists in developing architectures to integrate components into higher level systems and platforms

    • Support trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component and interconnects performance and to optimize design around established requirements

    • Defines and conducts simple tests to validate performance of designs to requirements

    • Collects and analyzes data on supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements

    • Provides support to products throughout their lifecycle from manufacturing to customer use by recommending engineering solutions to issues

    • Supports project management by preparing and presenting project status data

    • Writes simple sections of proposals to support development of new business

    • Works under general supervision

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

    This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in physics, electrical engineering, or aerospace

    • Experience with software language (i.e., Python, MATLAB, C++)

    • Electromagnetics experience

    Typical Education/Experience:

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Relocation:
