    Job Description Qualifications:

    The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring for an Equipment Maintenance Specialist (Level A) to support the Production and Equipment Maintenance Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on a Variable Shift!

    The ideal selected candidate would be a graduate from an Industrial Maintenance Apprentice Program with basic experience in equipment maintenance and in interpreting mechanical drawings, who is able to work any shift including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends. We are seeking a safety conscious, resilient, highly motivated, detail and quality oriented, continuous learner who can perform effectively under supervision, as well as in a team environment.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Works under supervision with limited understanding of the job.

    • Performs maintenance on factory equipment.

    • Assists with troubleshooting, analyzing, inspecting, disassembling, rebuilding, modifying and testing factory machinery and equipment as necessary using knowledge in areas such as mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

    • Follows blueprint and schematic requirements to maintain and repair equipment.

    • Responds to requests for equipment repair.

    • Identifies and requests component and replacement part inventories.

    • Prioritize daily work assignments based on production and customer needs and management priority to maintain production equipment utilization.

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite.The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    • Must be willing to work any shift assigned (1st, 2nd, 3rd, weekend)

    • 6+ months of experience with general equipment maintenance

    • 6+ months of experience interpreting mechanical drawings and work instructions

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • 2-year Industrial Maintenance apprentice program completion

    • 1+ years of experience reading diagrams used to maintain machine tools

    • 1+ years of experience reading operating manuals and follow sequential instructions

    Typical Education/Experience:

    Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).

    Relocation:
