    Job Description Qualifications:

    Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for an Entry Level Forecasting and Inventory Modeling Specialist to join our team in Dallas, TX. The successful candidate will be part of a tools & process team to support deployment and sustainment of the demand forecasting & inventory planning software tool, Service Parts Management / Planning Data Layer (SPM/PDL). The candidate must have good technical/analytical problem-solving skills as well as good communication (verbal, written), presentation (WebEx, PowerPoint), and teaming (engagement) abilities. Key duties include supporting a team to stand up and sustain forecasting and inventory optimization activities with the SPM/PDL tool, integrating the tool with data systems, and building relationships with key supply chain and IT contacts for successful production use of SPM/PDL. Candidate will work with supply chain subject matter experts and technical leaders, acting as a focal to translate business needs into technical solutions.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Provides assistance to gather data and develop data sets, models and simulations.

    • Participates in the collection and preparation of data.

    • Assists in using data to populate demand forecasting, strategic optimization and initial spares data sets to run models and logistics simulations.

    • Analyzes, updates and assists in optimization of model results.

    • Assists in the use of tools and models to improve processes.

    • Provides assistance in using models to estimate resource needs.

    • Participates in the use of tools and models to improve processes.

    • Supports assessment of supply chain practices to improve cost and cycle time.

    • Functional support typically includes, but is not limited to:

      • Support Analysis and documentation of DSP systems workings and its features
      • Support the creation of acceptance criteria for DSP system development, deployment and sustainment
      • Functional check & testing of supply chain feature(s) developed
      • Support generation of supply chain systems requirements or guidance from supply chain team
    • Develop sstatistical material forecasts for multi-echelon supply chain networks requiring optimized solutions.

    • Assists in analyzing post production supply chain data to define reorder points and quantities.

    • Assists in the analysis of supplier and/or customer data regarding products or services to include repair capabilities, capacity and performance.

    This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    • Experience and/or coursework in Supply Chain simulation and/or demand and inventory material modeling.
    • Experience and/or coursework in Database querying and manipulation skills (such as SQL, Python)

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • Experience and/or coursework in Service Parts Management (SPM)
    • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Business or related fields.
    • Experience and/orwith statistical analysis.

    Typical Education/Experience:

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 4 years' related work experience).
