Congenial, boutique Long Island law insurance defense firm located in Glen Head, NY seeks a legal assistant/paralegal. The ideal candidate will Experience in insurance defense litigation is a plus but not a requirement. You should possess good organizational and communication skills. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of cases and collaborate with attorneys to provide outstanding legal support.

Essential Functions

Review and analyze discovery documents, case materials and correspondence

Some drafting of legal documents

Management of attorneys' calendars/court appearances

Obtain medical and other records

Assist attorneys with management of case files

File/e-file legal documents with NYSCEF and PACER (will train)

Client contact

Applicants should possess the following:

Good oral and written communication and organization skills

Prioritization skills with the ability to multi-task

Attention to detail

Experience in Microsoft office

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year - Commensurate with Experience
