Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design and development of manufacturing components and systems using Rhino 3D modeling software
Generate toolpaths and CNC-ready files using VCarve for machining operations
Utilize OmniWin for nesting and cutting optimization in plasma or laser cutting applications
Collaborate with production teams to improve manufacturing workflows and reduce waste
Support prototyping, testing, and documentation of mechanical designs
Maintain accurate records of design iterations, production data, and quality metrics
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the engineering process
Qualifications
Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field experience
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, specifically Rhino, VCarve, and OmniWin
Understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, laser/plasma cutting, and fabrication
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced engineering environment
Preferred Skills (Bonus)
Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing setting
Exposure to lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
Basic knowledge of G-code and CNC machine operation
Experience with other design tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
