    **Boeing Research & Technology ** is seeking an Entry Level Manufacturing Research and Development Engineer to support either the St. Louis, MO or Mesa, AZ facility .

    Learn from experienced mentors to support design & fabrication of composite and metal parts on our current or future aircraft. Write equipment specifications and coordinate with technicians and senior engineers throughout. Analyze production processes to sort through complex challenges and diagnose the root cause of problems, and then be the one to develop and implement the solution.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Collects information to support definition of requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in the manufacture and engineering design of products
    • Incorporates changes to specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of materials, parts and processes
    • Evaluates emerging technologies for potential application to business needs
    • Assists with activities to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements
    • Conducts basic analysis to determine performance or reasons for failures of tools, materials, parts or processes
    • Assists in implementing corrective and preventive actions
    • Develops basic computer and production systems to satisfy user requirements
    • Uses project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements
    • Incorporates environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles
    • Ability to work with minimal direction and engage with teams across the enterprise

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in an accredited course of study in engineering by December 2023

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
    • Experience in a manufacturing or manufacturing support environment
    • Have have held an active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months
    • The highest level U.S. Security Clearance currently hold or have held in the past 24 months

    Typical Education/Experience:

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
