Job Title: Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer Location: In-person La Mirada, CA Job Type: Full-Time
Overview: We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to join our product development team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a small, fast-paced company where you’ll gain hands-on experience across multiple engineering disciplines and be involved in the entire product development cycle—from initial concept through design, prototyping, testing, and final production.
You will work on innovative consumer products, specifically in the small kitchen appliance market, contributing to every stage of bringing a product to life.
Key Responsibilities:
Design mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks
Contribute to product concepts, design iterations, and functional prototypes
Operate and maintain 3D printers for rapid prototyping
Participate in cross-functional collaboration with industrial design, electronics, and manufacturing teams
Conduct testing and design validation on early prototypes and pre-production units
Create detailed drawings with GD&T for manufacturing and assembly
Assist in material selection and design for manufacturability (DFM)
Help drive continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Proficient in SolidWorks (parts, assemblies, and drawings)
Practical experience with 3D printing
Interest in or experience with consumer product development
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Familiarity with materials (plastics, metals) and GD&T
Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
Preferred but Not Required:
Internship or academic experience with appliances or consumer electronics
Exposure to injection molding, thermal design, or regulatory standards (UL, CE, etc.)
Experience with FEA or other simulation tools
