    JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:

    The Boeing Company’s F/A-18 Retrofit Team is searching for an Entry Level Retrofit and Repair Engineer to assist with the design, development and update of retrofit installation drawings (RIDS), installation instructions and technical directives, as well as mod-site support for the F/A-18 Navy program at our Hazelwood, MO location with up to 50% domestic travel.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Authors Technical Directives, Installation Instructions and Retrofit Installation Drawings

    • Prepares Draft Kit Delivery Schedule

    • Assists in the definition of configuration requirements and the creation of kit assembly parts lists.

    • Provides mod-site support of various Validations

    • Provides technical support and resolution of modification related issues and discrepancies

    This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.​

    This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 1+ years experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical publications and/or specifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience writing / modifying technical documentation

    • Experience working with Electronics / Wiring and reading schematics

    • Experience with Unigraphics (NX) or equivalent drafting software

    TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    RELOCATION:

    This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
