    The Boeing Company is currently looking for an Entry Level Structural Analysis Engineer to join the C-17 Fleet Reliability & Analysis Team located in Long Beach, CA.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Performs limited structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

    • Assists in gathering and inputting data for structural analysis, fleet structural support analysis and structural testing. Inputs and retrieves data from existing databases. Updates and maintains document libraries

    • Participates in various test activities substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. Works under close supervision

    This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILL/EXPERIENCE):

    • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in engineering by June 2022.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

    • Degree concentration in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.

    • Experience and/or education in mechanical stress and structural analysis.

    • Previous internship(s) or experience on a design/build team.

    TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    RELOCATION:

    • Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
