JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:

Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS), Space and Launch Division, is seeking an Entry Level Subsystems and Algorithms Engineer to support the team in El Segundo, CA.

The Space and Launch Team creates the next generation products and services for the BDS business unit! We work with proprietary customers in the development of the next-generation technologies in space. Our team focuses on rapid prototyping to demonstrate a host of mission-focused technologies for a variety of customers. Our group works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.

The Entry Level Subsystems and Algorithms Engineer will become part of a successful team that are immersed in focused development projects. As a team member you will have the opportunity to will design and develop state-of-the-art, space-based communication systems for commercial, civil and/or national security programs. This position will work with a highly-motivated team that works with domestic or international customers on their latest satellite systems. Project assignments typically span over the unit life cycle, from internal trades, concept studies and system definition, to satellite unit development and test. This role will play a part of our systems engineering team interacting with customers, suppliers, program management, integration and test engineers, and senior technologists.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists with various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.

• Assists with analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE):

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an ABET accredited university in an Engineering or Computer Science related field, by the end of January 2023

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE):

• Experience and/or coursework with analog/digital signal processing

TYPICAL EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

SUMMARY PAY RANGE: $73,100 - $98,900.
