    Job Description Qualifications:

    Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA)is currently seeking an Entry-Level or Associate Flight Readiness Technicians (levels A and B) to assist with multiple areas of the production system to support Boeing South Carolina 787 program in San Antonio, Texas on a Variable Shift!

    This position will report to Boeing South Carolina (BSC) with a work location of San Antonio, Texas . During this assignments, employee will reside in San Antonio, TX.At the completion of this assignment employees will be offered to continue at our North Charleston, South Carolina site. Applicants must live in the immediate area of San Antonio, TX or relocate at their own expense before starting the assignment.

    Flight Readiness Technicians perform rework, modification, maintenance, preflight and post-flight checks for delivery, including, troubleshooting pre and post-flight checks and performs maintenance and modification actions for delivery. This position will provide critical production support to the Delivery Center including improving production efficiency and safety and optimizing product quality.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Performs flight test installations and aircraft functional testing.

    • Assists in troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or faults and assists in repairing faulty components.

    • Assists with pre-flight and post-flight checks and performs maintenance and modification actions.

    • Resolves identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products.

    • Verifies the accuracy of work performed and may conduct self-inspection.

    • Assists in performing system & sub-system pre-delivery inspections and aircraft maintenance in preparation for delivery.

    • Participates in determining details of assignments to accomplish a wide range of objectives.

    • Plans, schedules and arranges own activities with the assistance of lead.

    • Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

    • Must be able to work any shift including days, nights and weekends.

    • 1+ years of experience with live aircraft systems and flight operations.

    • 1+ years' of avionics and/or electrical experience.

    • 1+ years' of experience with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk.

    • 1+ year of experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications.

    • 1+ years of experience in quality inspection and/or auditing

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • 1+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

    • FAA Airframe & Powerplant license.

    • Minimum 3 months of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience.

    • Minimum 3 months of 787 Program Experience.

    • Familiar with Boeing Production System.

    • Experience with Field/Flight Line Operations.

    Typical Education/Experience:

    Entry Level (Level A)

    Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).

    Associate (Level B)

    Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).

    Relocation:

    Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area of San Antonio, Texas or relocate at their own expense.

    Summary pay range for entry-level (level A): $53,000

    Summary pay range associate (level B): $59,120 - $64,500
