Field Technician
The AdvantaClean Field Technician provides mold remediation, air duct & dryer vent cleaning, HVAC coil cleaning, and emergency water damage recovery in homes and buildings.
Field Technicians work directly under the supervision of a Lead Technician, Crew Supervisor, or Project Manager in a team atmosphere. The Supervisor will assign various tasks to the Field Technician to complete that is a part of the project as a whole.
Typical Duties Include:
Light Demolition/removal of finished building materials
Project cleanup, bagging, and removing debris to jobsite collection bin or vehicle for haul off
Operating water collection vacuums or pumps to extract standing water from inside structures
Detailed, fine cleaning including vacuuming, brushing, and damp wiping surfaces and building contents
Hanging or laying plastic for barricades or barriers using mechanical fasteners, tape, and adhesives
Setting or adjusting equipment for drying or filtration
Cleaning HVAC/air duct & exhaust systems using collection vacuums, rotary and stationary
Squatting, crawling, and ladder work are often required to access all areas of a home or building
Demonstrate proper, safe operation of battery operated and corded power drills, hammer drills, circular saws, reciprocating saws
Demonstrate safe lifting, pushing, pulling, and ladder climbing practices
Demonstrate safe chemical storage, labeling, and use practices
Safety Gear Provided:
Gloves (leather, nitrile, or coated cloth, depending on application)
Safety Glasses or Goggles
N-95 Respirators
Poly spun "Tyvek" style suits with hood and foot protection
Shoe covers
Knee pads
Hard Hats, Ear Protection, and Steel Toe Shoes may be required, dependent on site application
Other safety gear as needed, when required by site or specific situation
Additional Responsibilities of an AdvantaClean Field Technician Include:
Report to work at scheduled times
Be available for non-scheduled work requirements as needed
Maintain appearance and demeanor representative of the AdvantaClean image
Cooperate with direct supervision and perform duties assigned by supervisors
Cooperate with other service technicians and perform duties assigned
Inspect own work and ensure that it is complete, through, and meets AdvantaClean quality standards and meets or exceeds customer expectations
Report all injuries immediately
Attend and participate in all staff meetings as requested
Abide by all rules, regulations, and policies contained in the Employee Handbook, Safety Manual, and Employment Agreement including active participation in identifying, reporting, and correcting situations affecting safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
Properly use and maintain company vehicles in accordance with AdvantaClean procedures
Use and maintain all provided materials, supplies and equipment in accordance with manufacturer's recommended procedures
Report all deficiencies or unusual characteristics of company vehicle or equipment
Document all job activity using the proper forms and by filling them out completely and legibly
Keep job or customer files neat, organized, and secure and keep its content confidential
Participate in ongoing training programs sponsored by the company and/or affiliated organizations
Demonstrate competency in knowledge and skills required for position by successfully passing exams needed to obtain trade-specific certifications
Fulfill all Field Technician essential functions
Fulfill all other duties and responsibilities assigned by the company
