    Wright Technical is supporting a top client in the industrial coatings space in need of a skilled EHS Manager to join their team.

    This person will be responsible for ensuring company compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards as they apply to regulatory and safety requirements applicable to the coatings process manufacturing industry.

    Job Duties:

    • Develop and maintain Safety Data Sheets, product labels, and OSHA Process Safety Management.
    • Prepare and file regulatory reports and permits (e.g., EPA, DOT).
    • Manage raw material inventory requests
    • Respond to incident notifications and communicate them to the team.
    • Research safety regulations to enhance safety performance.
    • Create and implement EHS programs that align with company goals.
    • Promote a safety culture to minimize accidents and environmental impact.
    • Conduct worker training on safety regulations and procedures.
    • Lead accident investigations and recommend improvements.
    • Update emergency response plans and coordinate drills.
    • Communicate safety concerns and regulatory updates to management.
    • Collaborate with managers to improve safety procedures.
    • Organize Safety Team meetings and document outcomes.
    • Attend monthly Safety Council meetings and relevant training.
    • Perform audits of regulatory and safety-related documents.
    • Support regulatory audits and inspections.
    • Attend weekly staff meeting.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong understanding of environmental and safety regulations.
    • Attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
    • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
    • Experience presenting information in small groups.
    • Basic math skills for measurement calculations.
    • Ability to lead and train others effectively.
    • Compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Detail-oriented in recordkeeping and data management.

    Education / Experience / Certifications:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, or related field REQUIRED.
    • 3-5 years of experience in the paint and coatings industry PREFERRED.
    • Experience with Product Vision or similar software is a PLUS.
  • Compensation
    $90,000-$120,000 per year
