Environmental Compliance Specialist 📍 Midland, TX Area | Hybrid (Office & Field) | Full-Time
This role is ideal for someone with experience in environmental compliance, permitting, wastewater, oil & gas operations, or regulatory coordination who enjoys working cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and environmental teams.
Key Responsibilities: • Track and manage environmental permits, registrations, and regulatory deadlines • Support water management, treatment, and disposal compliance activities • Coordinate environmental reporting and documentation efforts • Assist with spill remediation oversight and environmental site cleanup coordination • Maintain compliance records, permit documentation, and regulatory correspondence • Monitor environmental regulatory updates impacting operations • Support internal audits, inspections, and environmental compliance reviews • Interface with regulatory agencies, consultants, contractors, and operational teams as needed
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Natural Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience) • 3+ years of environmental compliance, permitting, or regulatory coordination experience • Familiarity with TCEQ, RRC, EPA, or environmental reporting processes • Strong organizational and documentation skills • Ability to manage multiple projects and compliance deadlines simultaneously • Strong communication and coordination skills
Preferred Experience: • Oil & gas, produced water, SWD, or industrial water treatment environments • Spill remediation or environmental cleanup coordination • Groundwater permitting or environmental reporting experience • Industrial or field-based environmental compliance support
