Job Description

AECOM Technical Services, Inc.is seeking an Environmental Engineering II in Austin, TX.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct engineering services during construction for major water/wastewater facilities such as checking of shop drawings.
• Perform tasks related to preliminary and final design for water and wastewater treatment, pumping stations and pipelines.
• Collect and analyze data, conduct feasibility studies, and prepare technical reports for municipal water/wastewater systems.
• Develop details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
• Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids.
• Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, and profiles/sections.
• Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks.
• Work closely with engineers and CADD designers in the preparation of design reports, contract drawings and specifications for construction.
• Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member.
• Prepare environmental documentation for permitting or regulatory program compliance.
• May telecommute.

Qualifications

Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Environmental Engineering related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:

1. Water and wastewater treatment
2. Hydraulics
3. Water distribution systems
4. Wastewater collection systems
5. Environmental sampling and analysis techniques
6. Water resources planning and management
7. Statistical data management
8. Reviewing engineering plans and specifications.
