    Position Summary

    The EHS Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as corporate policies and standards. This role ensures a safe working environment by implementing proactive safety initiatives, risk assessments, training, and environmental management programs. The EHS Manager oversees facility compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements while fostering a strong safety culture that drives employee engagement and operational excellence.

    Core Responsibilities

    · Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and employee safety. · Lead safety risk assessments, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and implementation of engineering or administrative controls to reduce risks. · Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations (e.g. PSM, LOTO, Confined Space, HazCom, Powered Industrial Vehicles) and EPA standards (air, water, hazardous waste, stormwater). · Maintain facility environmental permits, records, and reporting (e.g., SPCC, SWPPP, Tier II, TRI, wastewater). · Manage incident reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to prevent recurrence. · Lead safety committees and facilitate regular safety meetings to drive employee engagement and accountability. · Oversee and maintain site emergency response programs, fire safety systems, and annual drills. · Conduct EHS training for all employees, including onboarding, refresher, and specialized safety topics. · Monitor and analyze safety metrics to identify trends, develop action plans, and report to plant and corporate leadership. · Oversee hazardous and non-hazardous waste management programs to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness. · Coordinate with corporate EHS to implement initiatives, share best practices, and ensure alignment with company standards. · Support capital projects by reviewing designs for EHS compliance and participating in pre-startup safety reviews.

    Skills and Competencies · In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA programs, and applicable federal, state, and local environmental and safety laws · Demonstrated experience in developing and executing EHS management systems in a manufacturing environment · Strong skills in hazard identification, risk assessment, and implementation of corrective actions · Effective incident investigation and root cause analysis capabilities using structured problem-solving tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, GSTD) · Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and EHS data management systems · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to drive safety culture at all levels
