Job Description
The EHS Coordinator plays a key role in providing EHS support to our Production Facilities across the U.S as well as the EHS Department. The EHS Coordinator works autonomously, regularly exercising independent judgment and discretion with limited supervision. The incumbent must display knowledge in environmental compliance, occupational health and safety, waste management and recycling, and other applicable regulatory and EHS-related topics. This role is on day shift, 9AM-5PM Monday through Friday and requires you to be onsite at the facility.
► Key Areas of Responsibility
Implement and maintain EHS systems and programs to enhance employee awareness and drive a safety culture.
Administer, audit, and monitor daily adherence to EHS policies, practices, procedures, and safe work practices.
Identify and conduct facility-level training needs, including the development of content and methods for delivery.
Facilitate and participate in facility-level hazard assessments, identify job hazards, and assess risks.
Facilitate the self-inspection process, including review of reports to ensure prompt correction of deficiencies and documentation of corrective actions.
Identify and develop compliance requirements and initiatives as necessary.
Provide compliance and regulatory advice to facility management.
Provide facility-level technical assistance on corporate initiatives, policies, practices, and procedures.
Assure appropriate notification of environmental, health and safety-related incidents to regulatory authorities and/or internal management teams.
Provide facility-level technical assistance on incident reporting/notification requirements, per policy and/or regulatory requirements.
Assist in conducting environmental, health and safety incident-related investigations, root-cause analysis, and monitor closure of incidents as appropriate.
Identify appropriate facility-level resource needs, evaluate, and analyze indicators (leading and lagging), performance metrics and advise management on strategic activities and initiatives.
Stay current on laws and regulations through various methods (professional reading, electronic professional websites, and networking with peers).
Ensures compliance with internal policies, procedures and internal controls in accordance with the Sarbanes- Oxley Act 2002 Section 404.
Qualifications
General training, knowledge and understanding of EHS concepts and reading regulations. Strong display of interest in the EHS field and willingness to learn.
0-3 years of experience in a related position, preferably some experience in a manufacturing environment.
Interest in addressing a wide range of EHS issues, including waste management, regulatory reporting, chemical management, EHS program development, environmental sustainability and safety management and risk assessment systems.
General understanding of OSHA, EPA and other regulatory agency citations.
Ability to educate and influence people at all levels of the organization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good working knowledge of Google systems.
Ability to prioritize and manage facility-level risks/gaps.
Ability to embody and reflect core values.

Travel may be required up to 10%
