Environmental Science Instructor (Part-Time, Winter and Spring)
$20 per hour • Hours 8 to 4 • Planning time included
Program Details
• Winter program runs 8 days
• Campus closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day
• Spring dates included
• Part-time, temporary seasonal position
• Working with children ages 5 to 13
Responsibilities
• Lead outdoor environmental and marine science activities for children ages 5 to 13
• Set up and manage outdoor classrooms in the park, beach, and pavilion areas
• Create hands-on learning experiences including nature studies, simple dissections, and live observation pools
• Transport camp equipment and supplies as needed between activity areas
• Maintain a positive, upbeat learning environment where every child feels gifted and capable
• Assist with daily prep and cleanup
Qualifications
• Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license for transporting equipment
• Experience in marine science, environmental science, or elementary education preferred
• Comfortable working outdoors and in physical, activity-based settings
• Creative, energetic, and able to multitask
• Strong references and a professional, child-centered approach
