In this role, you will work alongside engineers, scientists, and project leaders to complete environmental studies, field investigations, and permitting support for a wide range of projects. Your Role
As an Environmental Scientist , you will support JHA's Project Leaders and environmental team by conducting field investigations, preparing environmental documentation, and assisting with permitting and regulatory compliance. Your work will help ensure projects move forward responsibly while protecting environmental resources.
Here's what you'll be doing:
· Conduct Environmental Field Work: Perform wetland delineations, environmental assessments, and related field investigations to support project development and regulatory compliance.
· Prepare Environmental Reports: Develop environmental documentation such as wetland reports, soils analyses, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, and other due diligence reports.
· Support Environmental Permitting: Assist with the preparation and coordination of environmental permit applications and regulatory documentation.
· Analyze Environmental Data: Collect and evaluate environmental samples and data related to soil, water, air, and vegetation to support project recommendations.
· Collaborate with Project Teams: Work closely with Project Leaders and multidisciplinary teams to provide environmental insight that supports project planning and design.
What We're Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should bring:
· A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field.
· Familiarity with environmental permitting and regulatory processes is a plus.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
· Excellent written communication skills for preparing clear technical reports.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a project team.
