Kids Are Us Academy is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian/Janitorial team member to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary

environment for our children, families, and staff. This position focuses on light custodial and cleaning duties appropriate for a children's day care setting. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a child-centered environment and understands the importance of cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform light cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using child-safe products

• Empty trash and recycling and replace liners

• Wipe down tables, shelves, toys, and frequently touched surfaces

• Assist with setting up or tidying rooms before and after daily activities

• Refill paper products, soap, and other basic supplies

• Report maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor

• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines required for child care facilities

Qualifications:

• Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred but not required

• Ability to work independently and follow cleaning schedules

• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

• Ability to perform light physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting light items

• Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy

• Must be comfortable working around children
