Participates in assignments on a project-by-project basis to provide expert- level support or guidance. May provide direct assistance, review progress, and evaluate results; makes changes in methods or project design where necessary. Works with a high degree of independence and often leads projects and mentors staff members with less experience. Knowledge, skills, and abilities to independently conduct primary assigned tasks such as operating portable instruments (e.g., GC, GC/MS, GC/HRMS, HPLC, ICP/AES, ICP/MS) to analyze organic and/or inorganic compounds, data review, or conducting air monitoring or other field activities as well as a sufficiently broad knowledge and versatility to lead SOP/method development and support additional assigned tasks as needed.
Bachelor's degree in environmental science and 4 years of experience.
