****Environmental Superintendent – Abatement, Demolition & Remediation
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Superintendent to lead and manage on-site operations for environmental remediation projects, with a strong emphasis on asbestos abatement, lead paint abatement, mold remediation, interior demolition, and general environmental remediation. This is a field-based role covering the Atlanta market and Southeastern U.S., requiring travel to various job sites and close coordination with crews, subcontractors, and clients to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant project execution. ****
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day on-site operations for abatement and remediation projects.
Ensure all work adheres to local, state, and federal hazardous material and safety regulations.
Supervise field crews and subcontractors, maintaining high safety and performance standards.
Manage project schedules, logistics, labor, and resources to meet deadlines and quality expectations.
Coordinate required inspections, air monitoring, waste handling, and regulatory documentation.
Maintain daily reports, job site photos, progress logs, and resolve on-site issues as needed.
Review project specifications, abatement plans, and drawings to direct field execution.
Serve as primary on-site communication with clients, consultants, and vendors to maintain project alignment.
Assist in preparing change orders, material requisitions, and close-out documentation.
Travel regularly to project sites, including out-of-town stays as project scope requires.
Qualifications:
5+ years of field experience in environmental remediation, abatement, or interior demolition required.
Prior supervisory or superintendent-level experience strongly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of hazardous material handling and regulations (OSHA, EPA, AHERA, RCRA).
Valid certifications or willingness to obtain:
Asbestos Supervisor
Lead Renovator (RRP)
HAZWOPER (40-Hour)
OSHA 30-Hour
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proven ability to manage multi-trade teams on active construction or remediation sites.
Work Schedule:
Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Occasional weekend or night work as required by project demands
