Our company is seeking an experienced Construction Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting and be proficient in using Sage and managing multi-entity financials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Manage all aspects of financial planning, analysis, and reporting for multiple construction projects and entities.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and maintain project budgets, monitor financial performance against budgets, and provide timely forecasts.
- Cash Flow Management: Maintain cash flow projections, oversee accounts payable and receivable, and manage vendor relationships.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze project costs, variances, and profitability, and implement cost control measures.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, tax requirements, and accounting standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop the accounting and finance team, providing guidance and support.
- Audit Preparation: Coordinate financial audits, manage audit processes, and liaise with auditors.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field .
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Sage accounting software and multi-entity accounting.
- Strong understanding of construction accounting principles.
- Excellent financial analysis and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
