QA/QC Inspector
The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for overseeing quality control and assurance for all phases of solar project construction and installation. Core responsibilities include:
- Reviewing project plans, blueprints, specs, and documentation to ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and quality standards
- Conducting on-site inspections and audits at various stages of the project - site prep, foundation, structural, electrical, mechanical, etc.
- Identifying any defects, issues, or areas not in compliance and documenting clearly through photographs, notes, reports
- Reporting any non-compliant items to project managers and making recommendations for corrections
- Verifying successful resolution of identified issues and re-inspecting as necessary
- Performing final quality assurance walk-throughs and testing prior to system sign-off and approval
- Maintaining meticulous project documentation and detailed inspection reports
- Monitoring equipment calibrations and ensuring inspectors have proper certifications/qualifications
- Staying current on solar codes, standards, regulations, and quality control best practices
The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years experience in solar or construction quality control and hold relevant civil/electrical/mechanical engineering or installer certifications. Strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, leadership, and communication skills are essential.
