    POSITION OVERVIEW

    Must be a self-starter and comfortable working with little oversight, tight deadlines, a diverse/ever-evolving to-do list, and an open working environment (fully remote, no set hours). Must be willing to undergo a background check and basic emergency management training prior to employment, if not already completed.

    This position will focus on content marketing strategies and project management associated with Epicenter Innovation's inbound/content marketing, public relations, partner outreach, and sales enablement efforts. In this role, you will be the primary creator of all marketing assets; time spent working in this position may include copywriting, client content marketing consultation, case study & whitepaper interviewing, basic informational product design/layout (webinars, presentations, one-pagers, guidebooks, and other resources), and project management.

    • Full-time (40+ hours per week)
    • Pay: $48,000 - $62,000 (commensurate with experience)
    • Virtual position (100% remote team)

    RECOMMENDED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    Epicenter Innovation is looking for an experienced content marketing specialist with a background in inbound marketing & information product design. The ideal candidate will be highly productive and must be able to keep track of deliverable needs for numerous projects, targets, and campaigns at once across the spectrum of inbound marketing, sales enablement, and thought leadership domains (both internally and for select clients).

    • Degree(s) in Marketing / Business Administration or related field required; MBA preferred
    • At least three years' experience in content marketing design, copywriting, etc.
    • Hubspot certifications: Inbound Marketing, Content Marketing, Email Marketing, Sales Enablement, Social Media
    • Experience using the following tools is preferred: Canva, Microsoft Office, Slack, Monday.com
    • Highly creative with experience in identifying and telling unique stories designed to communicate core competencies, outcomes, or unique sales propositions
    • Adept at and experienced in writing with an educational style & managing the information design process from end-to-end

    MUST ALSO POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

    • Proven work experience as a content writer (any professional writing experience is welcome)
    • Superior writing & editing skills (multiple styles, with a focus on “educational marketing” tone - case studies, blog posts, webinar content, podcast scripts, presentations, etc.)
    • Ability to learn on the fly while making decisions with sometimes imperfect or limited information (should be comfortable with iterative design concepts and should position themselves as a learner at all times)
    • Familiarity with government and/or other public-sector market tendencies, buyer behavior, and national “public-private partnerships” conversation
    • Information product design skills & experience creating marketing collateral in Canva, PowerPoint, and other basic tools
    • Experience with market segmentation, marketing research, persona & ideal client profile development
    • Solid knowledge of website (Wordpress) and marketing analytics tools (Hootsuite, Facebook Business Manager, LinkedIn Ads, etc.)
    • Experience creating systems that utilize automation and other outsourced methods to achieve success and drive repeatable, aggressive results
    • Ability to manage marketing projects and campaigns from end-to-end (ideation, planning & scheduling, process & system improvement, etc.)
    • Unwavering creativity and an interest in serving the greater good through public safety, disaster resilience, and other clients
    • Ability to consult internally and externally on marketing strategy & execution
    • Understanding of web publishing requirements
    • Understanding of brand standards, tone, and voice
    • Editorial mindset with an ability to predict audience preferences
