    JOB SUMMARY:  The Salesforce Developer serves a critical role in the business applications ecosystem at Episource, customizing our Salesforce.com instance as a full-stack engineer on business-critical projects utilizing Apex, Visualforce, the Lightning framework, JavaScript, and other integration and web technologies.  The Salesforce Developer reports to the Director of Salesforce Engineering and will be key in evaluating new technologies and integrations, understanding new Salesforce versions and their features, and enhancing and optimizing our current code base. At Episource, the role will work with all stakeholders from the C-Suite down and is a vital part of Episource’s continued success.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The Salesforce Developer will use the Salesforce platform (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, Declarative Configuration) and other integration/web technologies to support mission-critical applications which support the entire range of business applications. The Salesforce Developer reports to the Director of Salesforce Engineering and will be key in evaluating new technologies and integrations, and how to enhance and optimize our current Salesforce engineering stack.

    • Utilize Apex, Visualforce, Salesforce Lightning, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JavaScript libraries (jQuery, AngularJS, ReactJS, VueJS, etc.) to craft elegant, innovative, and intuitive solutions
    • Design, engineer, and then maintain and improve Salesforce end user-facing applications on the Force.com and Service Cloud platforms
    • Optimize/refactor legacy code to address new business needs, outdated design patterns, any new or changed governor limits, or new Salesforce features
    • QA & troubleshoot new and existing code issues to fix any bugs or inefficiencies
    • Communicate issues or project details effectively with peers, managers, stakeholders and other business users
    • Stay current on the new and upcoming Salesforce developer technologies, frameworks and best practices
    • Work with business users/stakeholders to scope and deliver required customizations & configurations
    • Review all permissions for the current and future Salesforce development

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Experience designing with Lightning Design System and implementing Lighting Components
    • Ability to apply innovative thinking to identify and design scalable Salesforce solutions
    • Experience writing and integrating with SOAP/REST services – Salesforce and 3rd party
    • Solid understanding of relational databases & development competency with MS SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
    • Proficient in one or more other languages such as Python, C#, Java, JavaScript a huge plus
    • Any Salesforce Certifications a big plus

    QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience
    • 3+ or more years’ proven IT experience with demonstrated increasing responsibilities
    • 1+ or more years of Salesforce development experience
    • In depth experience writing Apex classes using dynamic Apex and dynamic SOQL
    • Strong experience writing performant Visualforce pages with a focus on excellent end-user experience
    • Experience working in an Agile environment using a source-controlled (ex, Git) deployment model with tools such as Force.com Migration Tool, GruntJS, GulpJS, etc.
    • Deep understanding of Salesforce best practices: Governor limits, deployments, unit tests, profiles, permission sets, reporting, etc.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:

    • Availability to work the Eastern Time Zone.
