    Job Description

    Epsilon C5I, focused on software development and systems engineering for intelligence and combat systems, is seeking a part-time Business Strategy Analyst I to join our San Diego, CA-based team.  The primary focus of this job will be support to our proposal/grant writing team.

    SUMMARY: Unique opportunity to support multiple facets of business operations including strategies, market analysis, capture planning, and proposal management and operations support. Reports to support Vice President and General Manager of C5I group.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Participate in the technical proposal lifecycle, including writing, editing, strategic themes, coordination, and production. Create proposal outlines, compliance matrices, and response templates based on the proposal requirements. With input from technical staff, write proposal content
    • Aid in the identification, development, and capture of task orders and prime contracts that fit corporate vision by managing markets within the business development pipeline.
    • Meet with customers and teaming partners to develop solutions resulting in contract awards and additional tasking.
    • Participate in bid analysis and assist with developing bid strategies.
    • Participate in the development of technical proposals.
    • Participate in proposal lifecycle, including theming, capture team member selection, and proposal submission preparation.
    • Participate in the strategic market assessments that drive long term focus.
    • Assist in the planning, definition, and execution of quantitative assessments of Epsilon System’s markets to include performing data analyses using statistical and database/query software, writing summaries of quantitative analyses, interpreting and explaining methods and findings, and preparing presentation materials.
    • Develop thorough understanding of Epsilon’s data repositories to be able to identify and retrieve appropriate information to perform analyses.
    • Perform statistical calculations and analysis with Epsilon’s data using statistical, database, simulations, and modeling present finding to various levels of the organization.
    • Prepare presentation materials that convey complex content with proposed courses of action (COA) supported by data that document analysis objectives, methods, assumptions, data, results, and their interpretation.
    • Use various methodologies and databases to identify human resources to satisfy contract requirements and develop methodologies for making initial contact with candidates.
    • Work with other Epsilon System departments to assure the technical accuracy of analyses and interpretation.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • Must have a strong desire to write.
    • Must possess strong working knowledge of proper English grammar (know the difference between active and passive voice, what indefinite adjectives are, and what an Oxford comma is)
    • 0-2 years of experience in a sales or engineering role.
    • Outgoing personality.
