    Job Description

    WHO WE ARE:

    Best known as the founder of KIND Snacks, Daniel Lubetzky is a business leader, investor, and social entrepreneur working to build bridges between people and increase appreciation for our shared humanity. As the son of a Holocaust survivor, he has made it his lifes work to help prevent what happened to his father from happening again.

    Daniels foray into food was the unexpected outcome of his work to use business to bring neighbors in Middle Eastern conflict regions together. He conceived nonprofits OneVoice, Empatico, and the Lubetzky Family Foundation to foster entrepreneurial action rooted in moderate principles of empathy, critical thinking and nuanced discourse. His next chapter will focus on countering rising polarization in America by helping people use these skills to improve their communities and transform their differences into opportunities.

    Through his family office, Equilibra Partners Management, Daniel is committed to helping fellow entrepreneurs build their visions into thriving brands. Portfolio companies include Ellenos Yogurt, Gimme Snacks, FitFighter and Yellow Leaf Hammocks.

    Daniel is the author of the New York Times best seller Do the KIND Thing. He is also a Recurring Shark on ABCs Shark Tank. He enjoys doing magic and spending time with his wife and four kids.

    WHAT YOULL DO:

    Reporting to the Director of Communications, as the COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER, you will work to drive media coverage surrounding KIND Snacks founder Daniel Lubetzkys ventures and values. You will collaborate closely with the Communications Director to support Daniel Lubetzkys overall thought leadership strategy spanning the realms of business, civic life, and social impact. You will additionally help to drive awareness for businesses within the Equilibra portfolio by generating earned coverage of new deals and portfolio brand milestones.

    To find success in this role, you will

    • Secure a steady stream of media coverage to raise awareness for Daniel Lubetzkys work and POV across verticals of business, politics, entertainment, and social impact
    • Craft sophisticated, authentic, timely pitches that react to the news in real time and keep Daniels perspective fresh and relevant
    • Build strategic media lists and cultivate strong media relationships on behalf of Daniel
    • Ensure successful media interactions by preparing briefing materials, coordinating logistics and staffing interviews
    • Generate high-profile awards and speaker opportunities on behalf of Daniel
    • Partner with the KIND Snacks team and Lubetzky Family Foundation team to ensure alignment across all messaging and media occasions
    • Leverage earned media to support Daniels recurring role on ABC TV series, Shark Tank
    • Collaborate with Equilibras portfolio of brands to support investment announcements and key media moments with high-quality media, including consumer press
    • Track and quantify results and manage all out-bound reporting

    REQUIREMENTS

    YOU ARE:

    • Entrepreneurial; accountable for your results and how those are achieved
    • Detail oriented and professional with strong organizational skills
    • Able to manage multiple priorities, work well independently or as part of a team
    • Persistent in overcoming and removing obstacles that impact goal achievement
    • Someone who operates with kindness, transparency and integrity
    • Eager to learn and grow

    YOU HAVE:

    • 3-5 years working in a fast-paced environment in a communications/PR function
    • Excellent written & verbal communications skills
    • Proven media relations expertise and and solid experience directly shaping executive communications
    • Deep knowledge of the ever-shifting media landscape
    • Proficiency in media databases (Cision, etc.) and monitoring services (Similar Web, etc.)
    • Passion for Daniel Lubetzkys ventures and social mission
    • Ability to attend in-person meetings in the New York office on a weekly or monthly basis (Please note that all operations are remote for the time being, and in-person requirements will only start once it is safe to do so)
