    • Position: Equipment Mechanic (Full-Time)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform routine maintenance , inspections, and repairs on a variety of fleet vehicles and construction equipment (including bucket trucks, directional drills, trailers, pickups, mini-excavators, etc.).
    • Diagnose faults and malfunctions accurately using inspection and testing techniques.
    • Adjust, repair, or replace defective components, parts, or systems using the proper tools and equipment.
    • Test repaired equipment to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
    • Document all service work , parts used, and time spent in a clear and organized manner.
    • Collaborate with field crews to identify issues, prioritize repairs, and build strong working relationships.
    • Work independently or alongside other mechanics on challenging repairs and diagnostic projects.
    • Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and contributes to the long-term reliability and performance of the fleet.
    • Maintain a clean and organized shop environment and inventory of parts and tools.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 5 years of mechanical experience , preferably in construction, utility, or heavy equipment industries.
    • Proven experience working with hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and utility service vehicles.
    • Ability to troubleshoot, investigate, and solve mechanical problems with a detail-oriented mindset.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with field teams and leadership.
    • A strong work ethic with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
    • Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.
    • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.

    Preferred Skills (Not Required but a Plus):

    • ASE Certification
    • Welding/Fabrication Experience
    • Experience with equipment used in utility installation (e.g., Ditch Witch, Vermeer, CAT, or similar)
    • Knowledge of DOT regulations and fleet maintenance programs
