JOB SUMMARY:
The Equipment Operator – Reactive Cleaning is responsible for managing equipment on reactive chemical cleaning projects in accordance with JP Services standards across a variety of customer sites. This role ensures strict adherence to approved procedures, provides leadership equipment utilization. The Equipment Operator must promptly communicate equipment issues to management.
** JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Equipment Operation
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of reactive chemical cleaning processes, basic system setups, and overall Equipment operations.
- Understand the operation, capabilities, and limitations of cleaning equipment.
- Ensure equipment runs inside its desired parameters according to the procedure.
- Provide onsite Equipment Operation support, including procedure reviews and planning execution.
- Support mechanical temporary fitting installation as required.
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain strict adherence to safety policies, procedures, and job-specific requirements.
- Ensure Equipment SOPs are constantly followed.
- Input into Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and daily toolbox meetings.
- Ensure crews review and bring the correct job book onsite prior to job execution.
- Test equipment and maintain equipment prior to execution.
Leadership & Team Development
- Assist with supervising field equipment and personnel to ensure compliance with procedures, schedules, and customer expectations.
- Coach, team members to improve performance and safety awareness.
- Manage effective shift equipment turnover documentation with Supervisor.
Project Coordination & Documentation
- Provide job equipment status updates as required.
- Maintain accurate and current equipment logs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assyst Supervisor with daily job tickets detailing equipment, manpower, and chemistry utilized.
Customer & Business Support
- Assist with additional job site functions as required by the customer or management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Support other service lines during division slow periods, as needed.
** PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift.
- Ability to reach above shoulder height, bend below the waist, and position equipment as required.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., including overhead lifting, using proper lifting techniques.

** WORK ENVIRONMENT:**
- Frequent exposure to chemical and environmental dust, fumes, exhaust, and highly pressurized fluids.
- Appropriate respiratory protective equipment will be provided when required.
- Occasional work in extreme climate conditions, including:
- High heat (95°F+ heat index with high humidity)
- Subzero temperatures, depending on geographic location
- Noise levels frequently exceed 85 dBA; hearing protection is required.
