Equipment Operator

Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced Equipment Operator to support daily production and material-handling operations at a busy manufacturing facility in Columbus. This is a hands-on role for someone with forklift, Bobcat/skid steer, and baler operation experience who is mechanically inclined and comfortable working around industrial equipment.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, able to follow detailed instructions, and comfortable operating multiple types of heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of industrial and material-handling equipment
• Operate forklifts, Bobcats/skid steers, grapple buckets, and mini excavators
• Operate and monitor baling equipment
• Perform various production and material-handling duties as assigned
• Assist with basic equipment maintenance and upkeep
• Inspect equipment and report mechanical or operational issues
• Follow specific work instructions and production procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company safety policies and applicable safety regulations
• Work effectively as part of a team while also completing tasks independently
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous forklift operation experience required
• Previous Bobcat or skid steer experience required
• Baler operation experience required
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to identify basic equipment issues
• Experience operating heavy or industrial equipment preferred
• Ability to follow detailed directions and established procedures
• Strong attention to safety and reliable work habits
• Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
• Willingness and ability to rotate shifts as required
