    An established environmental services company seeks a CCTV / Tap Cutter Operator to join our wastewater collection systems team in Charlotte, NC. This dual-role position operates robotic CCTV cameras for sewer and storm drain inspections while also operating specialized tap cutting and dredging equipment for pipeline cleaning and rehabilitation projects. Position supports CIPP (Cured-In-Place Pipe) installation crews and travels extensively throughout the region servicing municipal and industrial wastewater collection systems.

    Key Responsibilities - CCTV / Tap Cutter Operator

    • Operate robotic CCTV cameras to inspect and document conditions in sewer mains, storm drains, and wastewater collection systems
    • Operate tap cutting equipment, cutter suction dredges, and hydraulic cleaning systems for pipeline rehabilitation projects
    • Support CIPP (Cured-In-Place Pipe) installation teams with pre- and post-lining inspections and equipment setup
    • Perform high-pressure water jetting and mechanical sewer cleaning to remove blockages, roots, and debris from collection systems
    • Monitor and control processing operations including flow rates, pressure systems, dewatering equipment, and geotextile tube operations

    Qualifications - CCTV / Tap Cutter Operator

    • Ability to travel 75-90% of the time to wastewater collection system projects throughout the region
    • Demonstrated capability to safely operate heavy equipment, CCTV systems, and industrial processing equipment
    • Ability to work in confined spaces including manholes, wet wells, and underground utility vaults
    • Capability to read and interpret technical documents including as-built drawings, blueprints, and NASSCO inspection codes
    • Valid driver's license with clean driving record; must pass DOT physical examination and drug screening

    Preferred Qualifications - Wastewater Equipment Operator

    • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with Tanker endorsement
    • NASSCO PACP (Pipeline Assessment Certification Program) certification
    • NASSCO MACP (Manhole Assessment Certification Program) certification
    • Previous experience with sewer cleaning, CIPP installation, or wastewater collection systems
    • OSHA safety training and HAZWOPER certification
    • Mechanical maintenance and hydraulic systems troubleshooting abilities

    Physical Requirements - CCTV / Tap Cutter Operator

    • Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 75 pounds regularly throughout work shifts
    • Work in confined spaces including manholes, underground vaults, and pipeline access points
    • Extended periods of standing, walking, and working in outdoor environments in all weather conditions
    • Travel requirements of 75-90% with overnight stays at project locations lasting 2-6 weeks
    • Tolerance for industrial noise levels, heights, and working around heavy equipment operations
