We’re looking for a skilled Commercial Equipment Operator to handle a range of heavy machinery used in construction and site development. This role involves operating equipment for excavation, grading, and material handling while keeping a close eye on safety, accuracy, and overall efficiency on the job site. Responsibilities: Responsibilities included, but not limited to: • Run heavy equipment such as loaders, dozers, and hauling units to support daily construction work. • Carry out excavation tasks based on site plans and required elevations. • Place and compact backfill materials to meet project specs and ensure ground stability. • Perform grading work to achieve proper drainage and final surface levels. • Read and interpret site plans, grade stakes, and elevation markers with precision. • Transport materials safely across the site using hauling equipment. • Inspect machinery before and after use, reporting any issues and handling basic maintenance. • Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines to maintain a safe work environment. • Work closely with supervisors and crew members to stay on schedule and meet project goals. Qualifications: • Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment in a commercial setting. • Solid understanding of excavation, grading, and compaction techniques. • Ability to read and follow site plans and elevation requirements accurately. • Familiarity with safety standards and best practices for equipment operation. • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in varying site conditions. • Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus. Compensation: $25 - $30 hourly
